Perseverance.I heard God say something to me,I knew it was just one word but I couldn't remember what it was because it was like being half awake then going back to sleep.When I woke up I knew I heard him say a word and it bothered me for about 2 weeks,then one day when I was having bible study with the family which is the King James,we were in Ephesians and there was the word,perseverance.
I didn't know what it meant so I got the Websters dictionary out and this is the definition...The act or habit of persevering,persistence in anything undertaken,the continuance in a state of grace of the elect of God.
The verse reads Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit,watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.
All of this was before my life in the world(my husband left me with 3 baby's) and in the Spirit (I was a babe in Christ)changed.That was a bout 15 years ago.Oh how I see how important that word is don't you? My tradition is Jesus.

From James, "If any man seeks wisdom let him (or her) ask of God, who gives willingly to His children. This scripture has nurtured my search for 59 years. I have finally found my place in the Kingdom of Jesus Christ. I am preparing to become a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and I am really finding more joy than I ever had in my whole life.

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.
Ecclesiastes 3:1-8
It is about the balance of life, which I think is important to remember.
The following is not scripture but has been my "creed" of sorts since high school (back in the dark ages when dinosaurs were still roaming the earth)
Desiderata
Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.
If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.
Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.
Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.
Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.
Strive to be happy.
