to try to predict the day and the hour that Jesus will come back and the tribulation will begin...I believe in all that..but it really gets on my nerves...no one knows the day or the hour, but they are always coming up with a new date that he is coming back, do they feel like fools when they are wrong? Like how the end of the world was gonna be with the new millenium and many other times they predicted, but that time has come and gone. Now they are saying that sometime in June is when it's gonna happen, they don't know anymore than anyone else..all they do is try to predict based on an idea with signs and numbers and so forth, does this annoy and aggrevate anyone like it does me. I believe in God and the second coming, but I don't know when it will be and I don't seek to know, I just think when it's the day he chose he will...why's it any different to try to read a fortune or believe in astrology than trying to predict the future of when God will come back?

Yes to every-thing you said.
And what conceit to imagine one is so important that you will be alive when he returns.
What cruelty - not to really, really, want other generations to have the joy of living for thousands of years first.

You do realise the argument about believing in future forecasting being wrong but believing in God is O.K. - is one of most aetheist's arguments about there being NO God.

I like you. Why? I hate hypocrasy with a passion.
You are NOT a hypocrite. You believe which is fine but not just to be around for the 'goodies' but just to believe. I like YOUR type of Christian.

I think it's a handful of Christians that try to narrow it down to the day or year. But we do know that by fulfillment of the predicted signs that time grows shorter. Judging by the amount of prophecy in the bible, it has a purpose. Jesus himself set a time-line out. It's just that most people jump the gun or think they need to create scenarios outside of the actual prophecy because it's not happening to the pace they think it should. I personally think it's rolling out just fine. I've gotten to see some in my life with Israel becoming a nation again. Israel is also perceived to be the worlds problem. Now isn't that just like God. He does things in His own time and way.

Jack Van Imp is a very learned man in the scriptures the media he searches for things to sell he is a Baptist and not filled with the spirit of God I think he is a good man but he always has erred in the scriptures in many urea's you must know the Bible and alway discern if he is right or wrong I stopped watching when he came against Pat Robinson we are not to judge and criticize our bothers on Nation TV I think he is in err and must come down from his Throne as God of all I have seen no one else do that we filtered all his video's in church when we decided he was off the mark see, all Christians are not the same you would do well to go with Perry Stone, Manifest is the name of the program he is a holy man of God :) jlu

A true Christian will not predict the day and hour Jesus will come back. Even Jesus doesn't know.

You make a good point, and thank God that made a way such as now to enlighten someone to the fact that all this attention is a trick of Satan to keep us from having our mind on what Jesus said to do.....take no thought for tomorrow, for tomorrow will take thought for the things of itself, sufficient for the day is the evil thereof.

It does not say anything about the year...think about. When the abomination of desolation sits in the Holy Place, then we know we have 3.5 years.

i don't believe in much, but if jesus came back right now, he would be viewed as a kook or be in jail already and nobody, not even christians would believe he was actually jesus.
