Recently I have found that I am aroused from thoughts of my boyfriend murdering me. Is there a name for this odd fetish?

Autassassinophilia The person is sexually aroused by putting themselves in situations in which they may be killed. They really have to feel they are in danger in order to be sexually aroused. Unfortunately, many of them get killed in the process.

Erotophonophilia These people are dangerous. They are sexually aroused by attempts not just thoughts of killing someone.

First of all this is not an odd fetish. That would be a redundancy. Fetishes are in and of themselves somewhat odd. Also, it is not something to be ashamed of. This appears to be a borderline case of fantastical or symbolic masachistic behavior. Sadomasachism would probably be the simplest term to use (where a dominant person and a submissive person act out fantasies as a means of release and to somewhat gain control: the submissive gains control because the violent or humiliating acts being performed on the submissive are in theory actually controlled by the submissive. The same goes for the sadist who is perpetrating the humility or "violent" behavior on his or her partner; a sense of control is the goal of these acts. The behaviors are simply a conduit to the ultimate goal of achieving control. There are sub-categories to this particular behavioral interests. It is best to think about what outside factors may be effecting these fantasies in your thoughts. Anthropologically/culturally violence is a male attribute. Violence is often mistaken for strength and females are attracted to this masculine trait and hence population contunies to. Depending on how real you want the fantasies to become it would be best to talk to you boyfriend and perhaps a sex counselor (though, in reality this is not about sex, but more likely control issues,) to get a better handle on where you are in this stage of the "game".
