Why are people so cruel on this site?

I have just gone through a cancer operation and I received a very upsetting email
Why are people cruel?

These are fungible assets that go into the main pot of the Catholic church and are returned for local use on an as needed basis (and are used as payouts and hush money in sexual molestation cases). And are there any priests preaching against this horrendous sin from the pulpit, denouncing the 'church' and demanding that his parishioners have nothing to do with it? Every member of the Catholic clergy, without exception, is a minister of Satan, and the parishioners love the lies that they are fed, and offer up their children to these monstrous, vile beasts (Lev. 18:21).

I don't understand the animousity that people have against the Catholic church. Preist do fall into sin, but for us to paint every Catholic with the same brush is not only uncouth, but shows extreme ignorance. Susan, I hope your cancer surgery helps you to live a long, happy life.

Not all persons (believers and non-believers) posting in this Forum are intolerant or hate-mongers. Any reasonable non-believer would be embarrassed by some of the content by like-minded persons. And judging by some of the believer’s written words, some self-professed Christians seem to have wandered away from the “love thy neighbor” reservation. For these self-professed Christians only, I recommend a refresher on the following two verses:
Php 3:18 For many, of whom I have often told you and now tell you even with tears, walk as enemies of the cross of Christ.
Php 3:19 Their end is destruction, their god is their belly, and they glory in their shame, with minds set on earthly things.

Please don’t make the mistake of extrapolating the behaviors in this Forum by some persons as representative of the populations of believers or non-believers. What you observe herein is a social aberration of the real populations of these groups. It is both interesting yet sad to see how some will behave when hiding behind the anonymity of the computer.

Why persons think that the anonymity of this Forum grants them a license to ignore common social graces bewilders me. I suspect that these persons would be truly ashamed if their parents, husband, wife, children, etc., learned of some of the things they write herein. Clearly they do their loved ones a disservice and dishonor them with such behavior.

The best solution I can recommend for you is to ignore any of the vapid questions or comments of the ill-mannered. It is very easy to scan past them and focus your eyes on the substantive and cogent items. If you spend enough time in this Forum the persons prone to bad behavior become known quickly, thereby enabling you to ignore their wasted efforts even easier.

I encourage you to keep asking questions in an objective manner. You will sometimes get useful responses. Out of respect for these types of questioners, I try to answer questions cogently.

It's a public forum visited by all types and age groups. Some can be very cruel and some can inspire. You will learn to sift through the garbage and find the diamonds. Hope your recovery is going well. God bless.

This is not cruel it is someones honest opinion. I have no proof but would tend to agree based on what I have seen and heard concerning the fact that priests are not punished by the church when they rape boys. You should be aware if you have spent very much time on-line that the Internet is not a place for the weak. Perhaps not a place for the easily upset or for those who are in a particular place in their lives that makes them easily upset. The fact that someone disagrees strongly with another person does not make them a cruel person.

To answer your question: People are cruel on this site because they are cowards who don't know how to take their anger out on the legitimate parties. I mean, how could anyone be that mad at you, a stranger, if they did not have a screw loose in the first place? Just blow them off.

It takes a real man/woman to say such things to a persons face. That's why cowards are all sites like this trying to harm people w/o consequence. I'm not a bible person or church goer, but that site is just plain evil.

there are some narrow minded people in this world and by posting stuff on here you are exposing yourself to a lot of them. don't worry there are still good people in this world. i hope you have a full recovery and you shouldn't take what the cruel narrow minded people say to heart. they let out negative energy and will always be surrounded by negative energy. nothing good will come of what they do or say.

there are evil people out in the real world you have to use your com man sense and push away idiots comments sure it hurts sometimes but you have to be the mature person and recognize it for what it is ignorance i hope and pray you will be OK there are nice people too dont let the bad people take away your resolve or your strength good luck

I've gotten the same thing over & over, but hey ..as long as you put your trust in Jesus & know that you are a child of God ...what can man do? rise above it think of all your blessings, and I will pray for you, my dad had cancer and I know what your going thru.
by the way my dad was give 3 months to live...he's now cancer free for 9 years..
