yes you may have worked hard for all of those things but think about it, who gave you the mind, the strength and the will to do all of those things? i'm sure you didn't give yourself all of the qualities that enabled you to do all of those things.

Absolutely!!!

I am even grateful for my Crohn's disease that he gave me.

I have learned so many lessons from having this condition, and it has given me the opportunity to help others that suffer from it and their families.

It is a difficult illness to live with, but it has only made me a stronger person for it.

I have always believed that "God never gives you more than you can handle", and I am grateful that he thinks that I am strong enough to be up for the challenge.

It is impossible to be truly grateful. For we never know what we have til its gone.

We can however, strive to be as grateful as possible. Try to see God's presence in everything.

We can be grateful even for the evil there is, because it gives us a chance to be non-evil.

The more we strive to be like this, the closer we are to the state where we can see the work of the God in everything, and therefore be grateful for it.

The Jesuit motto is:
See God in all things

yes

my son was diagnosed with autism last year when he was 2 . It was devastating news since we tried for over 5 yrs for a baby. These past 5 months have been so hard with him, I have found myself so mad with GOD for giving my son this BUT at the same time, I have a child who probably will never learn hate and only know love. He smiles even though the rest of the world is going to hell, he smiles on which makes me smile.
ITs not what I wanted per say, but GOD knows I needed him to have this for a reason. Maybe to show me patience, the meaning of true love and happiness thru him.

im corny but oh well you asked and like my pastor says, if we could all choose what we wanted and our battles, life would be easy and boring and we would never learn

I'm grateful that he spares some people, and pushes other into the bowels of all evil. I'm glad I'm not on of those people. I'm glad He has given us the show cops, don't know what I would do without it. I love the Rocky Mountains too, such beauty. My favorite artist actually, is God, just look at this world. O yea, and I'm grateful for the people who don't eat the cheese/toppings on their pizza, idiots.

I am, even though I dont always show it. I didn't deserve the second chance God gave me after leaving Him years ago. I didn't deserve all the effort He put into getting me back. I didn't deserve the forgiveness He alotted me with no end. I am very very grateful, I know how much God cares for us personally.

OH! You mean that was HIM breaking his back at work all day long and then going to his second job at night just to make ends meet? It was He, who did all my homework and still found time to play with my son, walked the dogs and got me through my last job interview? It was God who mowed my lawn, did my dishes, the laundry, cleaned the toilet, cleaned the litter boxes, made breakfast, lunch and dinner, paid all my bills and then checked the mail only to find more?

My mistake, I thought that was all MY blood and sweat.

For everything, though at times I really hate some of it.... I may be able to gripe a bit, but I realize His decision was the right one, even though I don't like it.... He never said we would like all of our tasks... May the Stars light your path...
