i get paranoid about two main things:
1) i'm sooo convinced that my ex (i'm bi), whom i haven't seen or talked to for two years is on the hunt for me. i feel like whenever friends call me, they are tapping my conversation and letting him hear it or recording it for him to hear it later. this has caused me to not wanna go into town, so i do my shopping and errands in a town 45 minutes away from mine. even little things, like gas. i'm just sooo convinced people are on his side and he's watching me and will pop out and attack me one day.
2) my school and work. for some reason i feel like my classmates and the staff are in on something i don't know about. when they conversate in front of me, i look for hidden meanings in their talk and i'm so convinced it's about me. i feel like everyone hates me and they all talk badly of me behind my back.
what kind of mental illness could this be? i have anxiety and panic attacks too.

i am so convinced that my ex is on the hunt for me, people always tell me he asks about me.

and i'm so convinced that my school is in on something i don't know about. it's a vocational college. sometimes i feel like the students are all working there to make the school look real towards me and they are after me and my money.

the crazy thing about this is i'm a CONVINCED about everything. i've never felt this way before... i used to be popular. everyone loved me, now i have no friends because of this paranoia. i don't trust anyone. i don't know who i am anymore. i lost touch with reality!

its paranoia like everyone else said, but in my opinion speceifcaly paranoid personality disorder
Paranoid personality disorder is characterized by a distrust of others and a constant suspicion that people around you have sinister motives. People with this disorder tend to have excessive trust in their own knowledge and abilities and usually avoid close relationships with others. They search for hidden meanings in everything and read hostile intentions into the actions of others. They are quick to challenge the loyalties of friends and loved ones and often appear cold and distant to others. They usually shift blame to others and tend to carry long grudges.

A pervasive distrust and suspiciousness of others such that their motives are interpreted as malevolent, beginning by early adulthood and present in a variety of contexts, as indicated by four (or more) of the following:

suspects, without sufficient basis, that others are exploiting, harming, or deceiving him or her
is preoccupied with unjustified doubts about the loyalty or trustworthiness of friends or associates
is reluctant to confide in others because of unwarranted fear that the information will be used maliciously against him or her
reads hidden demeaning or threatening meanings into benign remarks or events
persistently bears grudges, i.e., is unforgiving of insults, injuries, or slights
perceives attacks on his or her character or reputation that are not apparent to others and is quick to react angrily or to counterattack
has recurrent suspicions, without justification, regarding fidelity of spouse or sexual partner.
Does not occur exclusively during the course of schizophrenia, a mood disorder with psychotic features, or another psychotic disorder and is not due to the direct physiological effects of a general medical condition.
unforgiving
bears grudges
suspicious (of others)
perceives attacks (and reacts quickly)
sees enemy in everyone
suspects associates, friends
confiding in others feared
threats seen in benign events

I am not a doctor, but it sounds more severe than social anxiety. Try not to be so paranoid and if you can't you could see a doctor and talk to him/her about your issues and they can help you with some different treatments to control the thoughts you are having and make you more comfortable. I would urge you to probably do this real soon before this really turns into reality for you, it sounds you might be close. Good Luck!

How long have you been bi-sexual? Is it possible that you've just made it public knowledge?
Perhaps these feelings or thoughts of what others are thinking is merely your subconscious telling you that this lifestyle is wrong. You know, like when you were a kid and done something you knew you were not supposed to do....You felt that people could tell by looking at you, or they really knew what you had done, it's the same principal.
Perhaps a "guilty conscience

It's called paranoid schizophrenia. What you are describing are called delusions of persecution. You sound like you don't quite believe the things you've written, though. Like you know they're ridiculous, but if you go out of town to shop, etc., you must believe them. You need to see a psychiatrist who can get you on medication that will relieve your paranoia and who can get you on some kind of therapy, too. It sounds like this is ruining your life. You don't have to feel like this, but it won't get better by itself. Good luck.
