Christian. I don't own a gun at this time but have in the past to hunt with.

For me, religion isn't a preference... It's just what I've decided to believe... From what I've seen and what I think is right. Beyond that, I have owned a gun before, and am in the process of buying one. Is your question "would I use it against another human?" or "why do I?" or "do I think it's justified?" or "why do I own a gun?" ... be happy to answer.... In what sense are you asking... My first answer is, I like target practice, just as a sport... like golf (putting a tiny ball in a tiny cup) or tennis, putting that little ball right where I want it at the corner of the rectangle... a test of skill.... but there are other questions about it I'm sure you have. E-mail me if you like. Safety is #1...

Thats kind of random. I am a Christian, and I don't own a gun simply because in my state you have to be 21 to purchase, and I am only 20. Were I 21 then yes I would own a gun as granted to me by the second amendment to the constitution.

Excellent question. I wonder if there is any correlation between religion and gun ownership. I am an atheist and I don't own a gun. I hate guns. It is clear that countries that allow citizens to own guns have far more fatalities due to bullet wounds than those that do not.

Protestantism(christian, more specifically pentecostal), moreover, and I say that because for being honest I'm not a religious person, I believe in God and Jesus Christ but I dont like going to Church, but I believe the Protestants are a little bit more close to the truth about God's commandments and duties for us humans....
And NO, I dont own a gun, even If I were atheist I wouldnt....

Christian and no I do not own a gun because I live on a college campus. Before I came here I bought one because I had been robbed twice in two week. It would have been three times but the last time the robber felt it was in his best interest not to rob me. Must have been my pistol aimed between his eyes that changed his mind.

GOOD question but doesn't seem to be getting any quantative data.
Except that Americans are crazy.
That ammendment meant own this thing that could explode in your face and that could only kill one person at a time and needed re-loading.
Here in Australia we had a similar event to your Virginia University event, over decade ago.
Fortunately laws were made to stop re-peating guns
Fortunately we spent masses of tax money on 'Buy-back' of guns which were then crushed and melted down.
Fortunately we do not have guns in schools
Fortunately we do not have 'drive-by' shootings
Our religions - varied Muslim, Buddhist, Baptist, Jew
But of this we all believe it's true

We don't even want one dead, no matter who

what does that have to do with any thing?
but for fun ill answer I'm an atheist and yes i own 3 guns and about 15-20 knives the guns are in my parents gun safe i inherited them from my grandad all my knives are in my room and my hunting bow in in my room as well
If you wondering if i carry any thing with me yes i Carry a stiletto (out side of school of coarse)
