I really want to get my last baby tooth out, but I'm afraid of doing it. If I go to the dentist to do it, it'll freak the you-know-what out of me. What's the best way to numb it at home?

Hold ice on it and the surrounding tissue until it's numb, then bite down on something hard (like an apple) with this tooth and then try to pull it. If it doesn't come out the first time, try it again. This way shouldn't freak you out at all but it may hurt slightly, just keep the ice handy. Good luck!

Why not wait and let it fall out on its own? If you pull it out to early look how long your gonna have a hole in your mouth waiting for the adult tooth to come in. Plus not to mention the fact that while your waiting for your adult tooth to come in your other teeth are gonna start shifting towards the empty spot where your tooth should be. Then when the adult tooth comes in its not gonna have the room that it should causing all of your teeth to be crooked. Just wait be patient it shouldn't take long for it to come out on its own. Good luck

Use chloroseptic or maybe orajel.

If nothing else is available, drink some alcohol. Don't get real drunk just drink enough to numb your senses.

Also, have you ever heard of sedation dentistry? Well, you go to a dentist who uses anesthesia on their patients to calm them down so they can do major or minor dental work. Your calm as a cucumber while your dentist pulls your tooth out.

PUTTING SOME AMBESOL ON THE GUM AROUND IT AND SOME ICE FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES WILL MAKE SUFFICIENTLY NUMB TO EXTRACT -- BUT THE TOOTH HAS TO BE LOOSE ALREADY, OTHERWISE A DENTIST NEEDS TO PULL IT.

Try to use a washcloth to get a better grip on it and wiggle it ..twist it a little in both directions. Try some oragel for the pain if you cant handle it ..but for god sake dont do what the one person said and drink alcohol!! I cant believe ANYONE would tell a kid to do that!

Orajel, abesol, ice. Or have a friend/family member do it. Good luck!

There are strips at any drugstore meant for mouth pain. I get canker sores and they are great....also inexpensive. They look just like listerine strips.
