When I went through Basic Training some 13 years ago (it's changed a lot since then!!), part of our training was we had to do timed runs in order to graduate. I think for women, it was something like 2 miles in 15 minutes or something to that effect.
We also had to do obstacle courses, troop marches with full ruck sacks, and had to do so many sit ups and push ups within a certain time limit. Those are just a few of the things we had to do during BT.
If you're entering the military, you should ask your recruiter to give you as much info as possible on BT and tech school. If you have a good recruiter, they'll help you out every step of the way prior to you entering service, so that you have a head start on knowing what to expect when you walk off that plane. Good luck!

I completed AF BMT three years ago and it has changed a lot since then! But the run for males was 11:30 and 50 Push-ups and 45 sit-ups. Pull-ups aren't required.

But the workout schedule was 6 days a week with running everyday, either sprints or running for 30 minutes with another 30 minutes of anaerobic.

How hard it is really depends upon the person. What one person may find as hard another may not find as hard. The only way you'll truly find out how hard it is for you is to endure it. I know in basic you will run TONS! So expect that and it would be wise to condition yourself for it before you go. A good bit of basic is physical. Your body will be put through various physical endeavors. It is VERY physical. So if you decide to go condition yourself so it won't be as hard. Don't get me wrong it will still be hard but preparing ones self for anything is better than not to. Your body will be pushed to its limits and then some.

You got that USMC flag and you're asking about USAF basic, interesting. Well, nothing really THAT big, compare to the Corps basic. Basic is only 6 weeks and of course you got your push ups, chin ups, runs and more runs. Just what basic is all about.
