I want to get a surface piercing, but recently I've had a breakout of acne where I want the piercing. The acne is mostly gone in the spot I want pierced, but the redness and a bit of scarring is still there. Do you think I should wait until the spot completely clears, scars and all?

Does anyone have suggestions for clearing the spot? I've used neosporin, but I'm a bit impatient.

Use a normal daily face wash and wait it out. UMMM.. You could probably get the piercing but It might cause the acne to get wosre in that spot. Wait until the spot is really good and then get it done so that your face does not get too bad.

My friend got her nose done and then the acne on her nose got a lot worse because you have to clean your face differently.

I say skip on the piercing....if you're having acne problems, a piercing is only going to draw further attention to that area.

other than the fact it will hurt it shouldn't affect it too badly unless it is bacterial acne. Use stridex or something on the spot and hope it clears it up
