I've found many online sources of information, but I really want to have a direct conversation with a 'priest' of sorts. Or someone that can give me specific answers to my questions and confidently engage in a dialog either in person or thru email. I guess I need to talk to a 'master', I assume that is what they're called. Anyone know where I can find this person?

Taoism is not a religion but a treaty on how to live life. Taoism teaches you to look deep within to get in touch with your greatest power as man. That power is your ability to create.

Understanding what your really are while learning how to use that power for the greater good of yourself and those around through utilizing the unlimited source called the Tao. The Tao is the greatest power in the universe that treats us all absolutely the same .

The Tao is like a well:
Used but never used up.
It is like the eternal void:
Filled with infinite possibilities.

It is hidden but always present.
I don’t know who gave birth to.
It is older than God.

I don't know if you can talk to an official, but this site has discussion boards that you can talk to other people of your faith on. Maybe one of them can direct you to an official. I know this isn't as direct, but hopefully this "community" of online fellow believers can help you. Hope it helps though, and if nothing else it has great references.

Click on the Preachers and Teachers tab on the side and it is were you'll find the boards and articles written by teachers.

I'm interested myself but all I've done so far is start reading a book called 'The Tao of Pooh'. I thought it was more of a philosophy but it's listed as a religion.

You'll have to look to the larger cities as they tend to have a better representation of these religions and perhaps even a temple. Ask in the oriental community.
