I have learned that the CVS diapers are just as dependable and absorbant as the brand names. I have also learned that Wal-Mart's generic formula is ALOT cheaper and is as nutritious as Similac or Enfamil. What are some that you could share?

Formula is the most regulated product out there. All formula brands will feed a baby's needs. The stuff with the DHA RHA(??) are found in generic too. Loved Wal-marts/ sam's club formulas for my oldest.

LUVS are owned by papmers so if your using papmers, know that luvs work as well (they are cheaper b/c of character sponsors)

All (yes i know its name brand) Free and Clear, works better then Dreft and is a lot cheaper.

I also like alot of the stuff i can get here but its not availible stateside so i'll leave those out.

I would definitely recommend having a "European Body Wrap". It is purely for detoxification with the potential to lose inches. Ace bandages are soaked in a sea clay and wrapped around your body. You will strip to your panties and nothing else. You will then be wrapped in the bandages and be instructed to put on a vinyl suit. Once you have the suit on, you will lay on a bed under some covers for an hour. Afterwards, the bandages are removed and you dry off. I have had this done several times. I have lost over 20 inches with 3 wraps. Not to mention, your skin and hair are left feeling so soft. Just make sure to drink plenty of water afterwards to flush out those nasty toxins!

It is true that many of the items we puchase only cost more for the name. I know from prior jobs that factories use the same exact formula for many of generics as they do for the big labels. You just have to try it for yourself and see. I cannot think of many off hand.... I think that the generic paper towels at Walmart are just as good as Bounty (The super absorbent ones) Also at Walmart is their brand of Automatic Dishwashing Detergent I prefer it over Cascade it really works better, doesn't leave spots, I don't even use Jet dry any more w/ it. :)

I've never tried to use generic formula and I will be breastfeeding this time, but I love Meijers baby wipes, thats the best deal out there, and they have these Little Tikes diapers I have recently discovered at Big Lots.

Our favorite wipes are the Kirkland (Costco) brand, followed closely by the Parent's Choice wipes.

Generic baby clothes (Child of Mine, Faded Glory) are just as good as Carter's, Old Navy, and Gap Baby.

We also use the Parent's Choice Soy formula and have found it to be comparable to Enfamil and Similac.

Store brand baby wash and lotion are also basically the same as name brand, but far cheaper.

I'm a nurse and fully believe in buying generic medicine. You can buy acetaminophen and ibuprofen at the dollar store instead of buying infant Tylenol and Motrin for $6-$10. Same goes for diaper cream, buy zinc oxide instead of Balmex.
