You might try the tract called the 4 spiritual laws, but it is important to know whether or not she accepts the Bible as truth and if not then you might point out the aspects of the personal relationship with Jesus, not just as a Savior who forgives and restores, but as a person who cares and will be your best friend to share in the joys and triumphs and to bring comfort in times of mourning, and will love you unconditionally even with all your faults and weaknesses, and will never abandon you. Jesus is love and proved it by giving His life that we may inherit eternal life with Him.

Doesn't mean that she isn't a Christian!

If she believes in salvation through Christ but lives her life for GOD --
She just happens to be a Theocentric Christian.

In Theocentrism, worship or devotion focuses on God or the Godhead rather than on Christ.

Matter of fact... you might get quite a few Christians on YOUR case if you tell them that you are living your life:
FOR Christ rather than
THROUGH Christ or
IN Christ!

Faith is a one-on-one relationship between a person and God. Just because my relationship may be a bit different than yours doesn't mean that one of them is INVALID!

You don't have to convince her, God will do so in Christ at His time. You've sown the seed, just continue to shower unconditional love to her. You may also invite other trustworthy friends to hang around with, lifestyle evengalism is the best. Remember that our lifestyles as Christians are often the only Bible a lot of people may ever read.

You cannot convince anyone about God. You already know that God is a belief from the heart.
So set a standard for her by the way you live..
And don't let her influence you!
Love and pray her into the Kingdom of Heaven.

Does she believe in Christ? Tell her there's no since in going to practice if she's not part of the team. Explain to her that she like everyone else all this earth is separated from God because of their sins but God made it possible to literally change their sin records with Jesus sin record if they will come to him in prayer and ask him into their lives. Without Christ it doesn't matter how much you believe in God your not going to heaven.

The number one way you can help her is to live YOUR life for Christ and pray for her constantly.

Many people do not take very well to being told that they are wrong and if you force the issue, it may blow up in your face.
You could subtly ask her why she doesn't do what God asks her to and then point out some scripture in the Bible that shows how what she is doing goes against what God says and that if she truly believes in Him, she should live differently. WARNING: DO NOT BE JUDGEMENTAL!!! Make sure your heart is in the right place and that God is telling you to minister to her.

Again, number one, PRAY PRAY PRAY!!!

The Bible says even the demons believe. Believing in God isn't enough, and the Bible makes it clear that that's the case. Personally I like the Romans Road for witnessing. Try here for help with that:

Remind her that according to St. James, simply believing is not enough. "You believe in one God, you do well. The demons believe and they tremble." We must live out our faith or it is no faith at all. I hope this helps.

Edit: Whatever you do, contra to the advice given above, do not give her The Purpose Driven Life. If Rick Warren isn't a New-Ager then I don't know who is.

Whatever you do, do not get too pushy with your friend. Friends don't push, they lead!

Invite your friend to church with you. Give her a Bible to read if she doesn't have one. Suggest that she read the Book of John and then the Book of Romans. That would be a good place for her to begin. Above all, pray for God to open your friend's heart so that she will respond to the gospel in His time.

Please let me know how things go; you can e-mail me anytime.

Hope this helps.
