BAGHDAD - Nine U.S. soldiers were killed and 20 wounded Monday in a suicide car bombing against a patrol base northeast of the capital in Diyala province, a volatile area that has been the site of fierce fighting, the military said. The Military ( Army and Marines ) state the insurgents are tough fighting men and not dead enders as Bush stated 4 year ago.

The attack came on a day when insurgents struck across Iraq, carrying out seven other bombings that killed at least 48 people.

Of the 20 wounded in the attack on Task Force Lightning in Diyala, 15 soldiers were treated and returned to duty while five others were evacuated to a medical facility for further care, the military said. An Iraqi civilian was also wounded. However the war supporters in the United States says the war is going as planned.

No. People are finally coming to terms with the fact that invading and occupying a country that had NO WMDs, NO ties to Osama, and NO part in the 9/11 attacks, then turning that country into a security nightmare, while engaging in a never-ending tit for tat pissing contest with a bunch of insurgents that weren't there before we arrived is an expensive and pointless endeavor.

The Germans and Japanese combined killed 2,000 Americans a day. So in two days you would have desired the U.S. pull out of WWII.

The war is winding down though. Here is the map the news organizations do not want you to see.

We are just not hearing about it as much; the news people are occupied with other "bigger" stories that gather bigger audiences and better ratings. Iraq war is on the back burner with the news/entertainment media.

What are you blathering about?

This war has another five to six years in it, and big buckos for the corporate slicks who sold it to you.

You don't 'wind down' a cash cow. However, you do pretend from time to time it's almost over just to assuage a restless public.
