Try watching how much fruit you eat. Lots of natural sugar in that. Sorry that's the only thing I can think of, you seem to be doing everything else right.

Even though you may be considered slightly overweight doesn't mean you're not healthy. The scale they use to determine whether or not you're overweight is a general concensus in the medical field. There are always exceptions to the rule. There are more subtle factors that sway sometimes from the rule. Also, everybody has an "ideal" weight, a weight that when reached is difficult to go beyond. You're doing just fine and don't have to do anything else. Weight's not the only definition for being healthy.

If you are really strong, have a lot of muscle, then 126 might not be the wrong weight AT ALL! You are eating right...you get good protein, you are exercising...so don't get too hung up on the X Y graph of "recommended body weight for height" thing. The people that are recommending a nutritionist- I say go for it. Those people can measure your food intake exactly, your energy output exactly, your body type, your type of eating, etc. But, on the surface, it sounds like you are probably healthier than 90% of the people out there! Keep running and lifting- it's an excellent combo!

trust me, this will work for u

1) drink some kind of a hot drink (tea, or a honey-cinnamon mixture would actually be better) half an hour before breakfast, and again half an hour before bed

2) try going organic, u'll eat less and feel fuller (even tho u say uu dont really have that problem)

3) i know u dont have this problem either, but just so u know--u weight 126lb, so u should be taking in about 1260 calories a day if u dont do so already.

4) dont let urself get hungry. waiting for lunch, i used to sometimes get so hungry my throat ached. its horrible. when u let urself get to this stage, ur metabolism thinks the body is starving, so it slows down. Then 20 minutes later, ur shoving down a huge lunch, not a good idea. Take a low calorie snack with to school and munch in the hallways before lunch period.

5) go to bed hungry. sounds weird, but its actually healthier. u'll wake up feeling skinny and well rested. Try having dinner no later than 7 each night (i am for 6 or 6 30).

Do exactly this for about a month (plus the exercise u already do), and i guarantee u'll loose 5 pounds.

hope i helped!!

try adding whey protein to your diet, at your size and weight I wouldn't use more than one scoop. Also try to get a time release type it won't overload your kidneys. If you can't, try sipping one protein drink slowly through out the day. As for being overweight did you use the BMI system to get that figure? Don't,it is flawed. It doesn't take into account that muscle weighs more than fat.A person that has a lot of muscle and low body fat can still be seen at overweight if you only use the BMI system. The caliber system is a much better system to use to determine weight. If you are well toned and don't have a lot of body fat, don't sweat it so much, worry more about inches than body weight. You are on the right track

This is a very hard question. The only thing I can think of is to ask your doctor. Sounds like you're doing all the right things. I've heard that to eat 6 small meals a day will help. Don't ever eat a big meal after 6PM. Eat slowly, then wait a while, before eating more. It takes a while for your brain to tell your stomach that it's had enough.

I guess this is not the kind of answer you're looking for, but honestly you are not overweight. Just because 126 lb is overweight for the *average* person who is 5'1" doesn't mean it is overweight for YOU. Each person is unique, and while 126 lb might be way OVERweight for one person it might be unhealthily UNDERweight for another.

Also consider the fact that muscle weighs a lot more than fat. If you run track, eat healthy, and lift weights... chances are you've just got a lot of muscle in ya! And muscles are damn heavy! "Overweight" from muscle is certainly nothing to be worried about.

If you really don't believe me and you're still concerned, I suggest going to the doctor and getting his or her professional opinion. But I really think you have nothing to worry about. :)

It seems like you exercise and eat healthy. Perhaps you should track approximately how many calories you burn, and how many you intake. Sometimes you won't realize something you thought was healthy isn't.

If it really seems like you should be losing weight but you aren't, you should see a doctor because you could have some kind of hormonal problem.

This is a free diet website it contains pretty much any food I ever eat so you can keep track of what you're eating/how many calories/fat, etc, and it contains all sorts of exercises (all speeds of running since you're in track). It'll also suggest how many calories you should be eating/burning! Pretty helpful..

Weight. It's like age.

are you the kind of person that cringes when you say your age?

quick - name something in common between the two. answer? they're both just NUMBERS.

if you're toned and have little flab, i'd say give the numbers a rest. if you got flab, then you can work on that.

without knowing what you look like, it's hard to say whether you're overweight or not. some ppl do have heavy bones - that's a fact. did u also know muscle is heavier than fat?

You are at your best weight, you have More smooth muscle than most if you are in track and eat the diet you do. Just keep up what your doing. You have more muscle so be proud of what you do, and who you are. You will lose if you are meant to. You have to realize that you are very fit. If you mess around and change what your doing now, you could lose weight and lose your fitness. Be damn proud of Yourself.
