My dogs are now on the Innova large breed food and they really like it. The Evo got a 6 out of 6 star rating, while the large breed is a 5 star, but I chose it because I believe that for my dogs, the protein content of the Evo is too high. Both are excellent foods, the Evo has no grain content whatsoever, while the large breed has brown rice and barley, both of which are easily digested by dogs. Also, they use the whole grain and not gluten.

We've had both cats and dogs on EVO, our cats did fine but our dog (she does have a very touchy system) wound up with some serious digestive problems. We have her on Prairie just because that balance seems to work best for her. If you find the Innova too pricey or have a hard time finding it here are a couple others that would be good to look into Cat and Dog Natures Variety and Wellness have grain free diets like the EVO (NV Instinct and W core) and Taste of the wild is grain free as well (C&D) Felidae is great (C) Newman's own is good (C&D) Eagle Pak Holistics is very good (C&D) Cannidae (D) California Natural (C?&D) Artemis (C&D) There are others but these should be the easiest to find. Innova is just about the most expensive but I personally don't think it is significantly better than several others. Kudos on trying to find a good food! ADD: by messed with her digestive system I mean constipation, badly, after about 3 weeks

I have not tried it, but it is good quality food and I wouldn't steer anyone away from it.

(I personally feed Chicken Soup brand because it's easier to get in my town than Innova products are.)

both are excellent brands, i cannot keep them on my shelves at my either of my pet shops! neither cat nor dog...they go quick, it's like i am always re-ordering every week. but have you every heard of Solid Gold? it's pure human grade dog/cat food, every thing in it is top quality, not a single trace of fillers or anything. I always tell my customers this ...."If you take the bag of dog food that you are feeding him now, and take a bag of my Solid Gold dog food and turn them over, read each ingredient, and you can pronounce every single word in my food, but can't pronounce any words in the other brand from wal-mart, shop-rite, or any other store....why would feed it to them in the first place? you don't know what those long words mean or what chemicals are in the food." My Solid Gold is pure...no fillers or harmful ingredients

I have used this feed for quite a while, and LOVE it. My dogs love it as well. Its made with humn grade ingredients, has no grains, and has the enzymes for digestion. You feed less because it has no fillers, and you get less poop out the other end.

While its more expensive per pound, you are not paying for fillers, and feed less weight, so it averages out and isnt as expensive as your would think because a bag lasts longer.

EVO rocks
