The idea of Chrismas celebrated near the winter solstice is indeed of fairly late provenance. Originally Christians celebrated the BAPTISM of Jesus on 6th January. Later, for political/religious reasons this was changed to his birth, it being deemed that his Baptism being symbolic of his rebirth it was one and the same. In the Fourth century it was shifted back to 25th December, the feast of the Birth of Mithras. This Persian and Anatolian "god" was really
more like an archangel in their religious tradition. Zoroaster (or
Zarathustra) was a great Persian prophet who probably lived in the 6th century BC, around the time of Buddha and Pythagoras.(There are indeed traditions that Pythagoras met Zoroaster after the former was taken captive to Babylon by Cambyses the Persian king.Mithraism as such probably predates Zoroastrianism
by many centuries. The god Mithras was summoned as a witness to trial by fire and was therefore, like ST, Michael, associated with Justice.

There are many direct comparisons between the stories of Mithra and Jesus.

According to the myth, Mithra was born of a virgin, he grew up to have twelve followers and was killed and subsequently resurrected. He performed miracles during his life-time, and was known as The Light of The World... etc.

As you've mentioned, Mithraism was around for at least 600 hundred years before the birth of Christ, and this is undoubtedly one of the sources of his legend.

To be honest with you, I'm not very familiar with Zoroastrianism, so I can't comment on that aspect of your question. I do know that Mithra played the role of saviour of souls between the good and evil gods in Zoroastrianism.

The Baptism of Christ is still celebrated in January, just after the Epiphany.

St. Michael the Archangel is not Christ Jesus.

Jesus Is the Incarnate Son Of God, & Second Person Of the Blessed Trinity.

Although Michael is the Prince of Angels, he is lower than Christ Himself.

the ten commandments have been given to the Jews purely. Christians did no longer exist while the commandments have been given. Jesus replaced the ten with 2. to love God with all your heart, soul and recommendations and to love your neighbor as your self. The commandments have been meant to be in compelled till Jesus got here. Then, Jesus replaced into the tip of the guidelines. Jesus made a sparkling covenant along with his Apostles and all who could carry on with no count what nationality. it incredibly is a robust factor that we are no longer below the commandments because of the fact dying replaced into the penalty for no longer gazing the Sabbath.

The story of Jesus in the New Testament is obviously part pagan mythology! The Koran proves that because in the Koran Jesus is only a prophet and is not any kind of a god and doesn't die for your sins as in pagan mythology!

Dude. People have been around for tens of thousands of years. It's a no brainer days of celebration are going to over lap. I saw a calender in Italy that listed every saints day, each day had no less than 3 saints on it. Xmas is also the day Apollo is celebrated.

Just more evidence showing how Christianity and the Bible were created by men and not a God.

Your sources are askew. There is no comparison to Jesus Christ, the observance of His birth, or any other facts pertaining to the Son of God, with any other religeon or belief. But you dont know that because you are in the 'dark'
