I find great deals on excellent pieces of furniture, art, and home decor. Everyone who has seen it is impressed. I want to show my home to the public. How?

I've seen occasional contest from womens, home & garden, and architechial magazines. Maybe try regional magazines first. Locals love to read about locals. Some have annual contest (google: magazines with interior design contest).

Most magazines accept user suggestions--such as why don't you have a contest? Tie it into sponsorships if you're suggesting?

Perhaps you can suggest contest to Local home furnishing retailers, Do-It-Yourself Stores or antique dealers as a promotion if they don't already have contests.

Another option would be to combine Photography with your interest of showing your home. Just a thought. See the below link.

Of course, you could show your home to the public seasonally by decorating for the holidays and putting your home on a charity backed tour. This usually gets local newspaper coverage as well.

You could always Blog or Website, if nothing else. But you know to be careful with how much personal info you give out there.

I bet you'd do a terrific job at pitching your ideas. You've got a thing with Q&A!.

Good luck.

Do some research through your local newspaper to find out who the Home and Garden reporter is. Talk to that person to see how your home can be featured. They're often looking for ideas and suggestions to fill their pages.

If you do get a local write-up, you can send that article to some of the editors or even some of the freelance writers you've seen published in the national magazines. Most national magazines like to have an angle, such as decorating on a budget or decorating environmentally. If they see evidence of local interest in your home, it's possible they may consider sending a photographer and writer to showcase your home.

You can also find out what local charities hold home tours to raise money. Volunteer to have your home be one of the homes shown in a "parade of homes" charity event.

Good luck.

I'm not sure where you live, but here in the UK, you either have to know someone at a publication, or have something special about your house that could feature in one of the editions of a magazine. For example, would it be appropriate in an issue about minimalism, Americana, eclectic decor, small spaces, etc? Or does it have any particular period features? Was it done super ecologically? This is the kind of stuff editors look for. I know because I used to write for magazines. Alternatively, you could download pics onto the website of a magazine, like this one: http://www.livingetc.com/
Good luck!

This particularly relies upon on what colour your fixtures are. What you do on that wall needs to mirror those. without to any extent further archives it may be no longer uncomplicated to tell you what to placed on that wall.
