Family of 4 , in IL, and we spend $450 - $500 per month. This includes 2 big shopping trips, and the miscellaneous runs to the store for milk and bread.

Too much!
We spend about $500.00-$600.00 a month on groceries. There are four members in my family but we normally have 2/3 guests [hungry Airmen] over for dinner a night. We live on an AF base so we shop at the commissary with special prices.

Wow. I guess we spend a lot. We are a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) and we spend $600 per month and that's hard for us to stick to.

I live in Idaho and use the grocery game......... www.thegrocerygame.com and spend $200. a month for three of us, two adults and a two-year-old. It costs $10. dollars for every 6 weeks, but we still save lots of money. I also try to buy in bulk when I can, and I do some freezer cooking........... you know, cook in the kitchen for a weekend and have meals for a month? It's actually quite liberating! I always hating having to figure out what to cook every night! We also have a garden, but I don't actually get much out of it! LOL

We're in So Cal. A family of four which includes myself, my husband, and two young boys (5 and 7). Our bill is a minimum of $600-and no, we are not overweight! You should have asked if people were buying organic foods, which seem to be more expensive around here.
