There is minimal to zero risk to a biopsy. Don't worry about it, just get it done and find out what is wrong.

It can be very risky, it can spread the cancer to other areas of your body. Do a goggle search on biopsy and spreading cancer. Ask your doctor if it is possible for a biopsy to spread cancer, the answer should be a definite yes, although it might be small it is still out there. It would be very hard to prove if it did or not because it could take years to develop. Get an apple and a needle, insert the needle 12 times in various locations, wait a day and cut the apple in half and see the results. If the doc is lucky enough to hit an area with cancer, what do you think will happen when it is penetrated with a needle.? Good luck

Minimal risk, especially if the prostate is biopsied via the urethra.

Follow the dr's instructions and there is very little risk. If the dr thinks you need one, it's more risky to not have it done.
No big deal. Takes 5 minutes, and in 10 minutes, you're outta there.
Already had 2, may have another this summer depending on my PSA.
First one, all clear, 2nd, an infection, 30 days of antibiotics.
