The people of Westboro preaches about hate and how God hates the people of America.
The entire Bible is about how God fulfills His promise to save us even though we are disobedient to Him. The people of Westboro do not teach this. Instead, they condemn America and its people. This goes against the Word of God.

No. I consider the Westboro Baptist Church a church in name only. It's only purpose is to spread hate.
Now, most Baptists would not condone homosexuality, for instance, if that's what you mean. But I would really really hesitate to make a comparison further than that.

I am Catholic but I know too many Baptists. They find the Westboro Baptisit church as offensive as everyone else. After many of the soldiers whose burials they have disrupted or try to disrupt were Baptist.

They are not even remotely similar. Westboro Baptist Church is not even similar to Christianity. It is a bait and sue operation that gets more effective the more we dislike them.

The Baptists kicked them out and want nothing to do with them. I have disagreements with some Baptists, but I don’t know any who think like those people.

I am not particularly a fan of the Baptists, but they are good people and have nothing but contempt for the actions of the psychopaths at Westboro.

I'm a Baptist and find these people repulsive. God is not happy with these kind of people, we are to save the lost ,not drive them away from Christ.
