Reguardless of if it was humans or a natural cycle that is casuing the warming, it is still happening as we speak. The effects of the warming for the next 50 years are out of our hands. The engine of a Global Warming trend has started. We can do something about the next 100 to 1000 years but for the short term, we're stuck.

If we are intelligent as we claim to be, then we will find a way to adapt to this ever changing world.

The reason why this is in the religious section is most believers either think that this is god's work or that god is going to save us.

This is correctly placed in the religion section because "global warming" is a main tenet of the religion of "environmentalism". Environmentalism has effectively become a religion with "Mother Nature" as the deity and "global warming" as the gospel. "Global warming" is being set up in a way where those who question are being called "deniers". What I see going on in academia, the media and politics is to me very similar to the Spanish Inquisition on this matter. The most sinister aspect of the whole movement is it is a veiled form of socialism where for the common good, (the environment) the government will make laws, restrictions and redistribute wealth (from the rich people and countries using all the resources to the poor).

Beware of the religion of and blind faith in "environmentalism".

The earth has been warming since the Ice Age and for the most part it has been a good thing. there is every indication that the earth will benefit from warming as will life on this planet. First of all if carbon emissions continue the it will be good for plant growth and there will be more land for planting crops. so I think that we should all just relax and enjoy the warmth, after all we will never be able to control the sun cycles.

If computer model predictions are true it will be great for the tourist industry in New York as it will become the new Venice. Imagine the people on Wall St. going to work by gondola. How cool is that?

First of all, Global warming is not a fact, most reputable Scientist will not attach their names to anything that has to do with global warming because there is nothing to substantiate it. It is simply something that someone thought was happening and the media has taken this and ran with it and once again it has given false information to the people. And Global warming has nothing to do with us as Christians, when God decides to send his Son Jesus back to get the family, well, we are out of here. So long, it's been fun, but this is not our home, our daddy is the King of Kings, so we won't be here. We will be praising the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, probably from my mansion.

Yeah, we can't stop global warming. Geologists can see what the climates were like over a long period of time. They tell us climates change, sometimes swiftly, and did it before we were even smelting bronze. We should do something to make sure we can feed our large and ever growing population no matter what the climates do. I suggest large, indoor farm/labs. Genetically Modified (GM) vegetables are much more acceptable to the American consumer than GM meats. If we don't do something, we will suffer, over a period of time, a massive starvation of various people on the Earth. And, who knows, those types of farms could be prototypes for food growing on off-Earth colonies someday.

See here is the problem. It is happening faster on Mars. There is also evidence of it on Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. Plus several moons of various planets. Look it up.

That is a HUGE indication that it is Solar and there ain't going to be a thing we can do except wait till the Sun decides to go into its next cycle.

Humans adapted during the ice age, they adapted in the medieval warm period when they built the great cathedrals, and the mini-ice-age that followed. Humans can continue adapting.
