The vast majority of Christians and Jews outside the USA do in fact do just that.

Because evolution is not a fact. It’s a hypothesis that has never been proved.

We have still yet to see any evidence of one species becoming another. Variations in the same species doesn't equate to evolution. For all we know at this stage is that those variations are preprogrammed in the DNA as possible variations. Mixing of DNA may make a new type of dog, but it is still a dog. So, even if a complex single cell organism managed to spontaneously form with perfect parts one time or even a thousand times, it wouldn't account for the wonderful variety of life here on Earth.

Evolution claims, random change & natural selection make simple things spontaneously transform into more complex things without recourse to intelligent design. Chance and random changes simply do not produce higher levels of organization & complexity.

Well the first thing is that if you are a Christian or a Jew you believe that God created man. That being the case mankind could not have evolved out of some primal slime pool. The biggest problem though is that evolution as relates to man in Darwin’s theory is that it is not Fact but an unproven theory.

What some people understand 'evolution' to mean is that humanity evolved from some form of ape - in other words an animal that does not have a soul. Personally I have a problem with that.

Oh yeah, another point is that certain people interpret the Bible literally meaning that God created the universe in days and not over millions of years.

On the other hand, the idea that humanity has evolved over to what we are today makes sense to me - assuming that we were always human (having a soul) from the beginning.

Some Christians want to be known as a "special creation" made by God and not an end product of evolution. This is my opinion after talking to several Christians, not myself, I'm Taoist.

The problem you are referencing has little to do with either"religion" or "evolution" but with an assumption about the authority and interpretation of the Bible by certain sects within Protestant Christianity.

Dear Azrael:

A growing consensus of scientists are publishing books on the young age of the earth, and literal creation.

The Bible speaks of an appointed ruler of this planet, but lost his standing through transgression. Then God himself had to come and suffer the penalty of transgressors as, what the Bible says, "the LAST ADAM."

So you see, there is a "heavenly" remedy for the fall of this planet.

Satan also had a plan, and I was amazed to read the late Roger Morneau's account of his escape from a angel-worship cult. It tells of many of Satans delusions, and Christians are swallowing them, too.

Blessings, One-Way

I believe that both are correct. Everything in the story of creation in the bible refers to things happening in God's time. With that being said, seven days in God's time could be several thousands or even several million years. If that's correct then Darwin figured it out, but made the mistake of removing God from the equation.

Nothing, unless one reads the Bible as the literal, inerrant truth of God. Someone who believes that The Bible is God's word cannot then believe that evolution is real, for that would mean accepting that God is wrong. God can't be wrong.

But...most of us do not read the Bible in this way. The Bible for me consists of the beautiful, inspiring, and flawed words of those with faith in God.

With this in mind...wouldn't it make sense that God created all beings with the ability to evolve according to their environment?

Nothing most Christians and most Christian denominations do take evolution as a fact.
