I think just about everyone believes in love ... deep inside of them .. whether they know it or admit it or not. I think it is a fundamental part of us as human beings. Our views get distorted because of life experiences ... but I think everyone (almost) has a capacity to love ... and believes its possible. I think it is "easier" to act as if we don't though. "Easier" to put up the wall and the front that we don't believe and or desire it.
Love is a crazy thing. Feels amazing when it is good ... like everything in your world is right .... and everything is just a little bit better because your heart is so full ... you laugh and smile for no real reason and you feel the sense of belonging that only love can make you feel. Things look, smell and feel better just because your in love .... it is truly amazing ....
But when it is bad ..... it is devastating and can turn your world upside down. It can cause you to do tragic, senseless hurtful things, your angrier and sadder .... all in the name of love falling apart. You feel desperate and out of control ... and this can leave you bitter.
I have just had my heart stomped on in the cruelest way by my new husband .... our marriage fell apart after only 11 months .... It hurt .... I couldnt see through my pain for a long time. But I still believe.
I am terrified of feeling the pain I just experienced ..... But I refuse to let it stop me from living ... from finding that GOOD LOVE AGAIN.
The love that make my whole world right ..... and thank god I still believe - and didnt stay bitter .... Because i have found an amazing man .....

I still believe in love. I know it sounds corny, but when I'm reading a really good romance novel and it's written so well that sometimes I pretend to be the girl that handsome guy is kissing. I know it's completely fiction and real love in life is confusing and complicated, but I am still waiting for my Romeo or my Prince Charming to sweep me off my feet and carry me away to a place where we'll live happily ever after.
Gosh, I read too much fairytales and romance novels...

Yes. There's your short answer. If you want longer, here ya go........
My parents met. 8 weeks later they're married. 32 years later they're still together. Love at first sight?.....I think so. That indirectly affects my answer. I'm happy right now knowing that the woman that holds my soul in her hand is happy. Though she's not with me, though she's married with a child, though I have a girlfriend, it matters not. She's happy and everything I do in my life is for her. Just so she has can live her life to the absolute fullest. Would my girlfriend think that love exists if she knew this......probably not. It's all in the experiences we draw from our own lives and lives of others that shape our beliefs. Is love worth it? Yes, and it doesn't matter what "it" refers to. But that's just my experience.

A life without love is a lonely life, so how can you not believe in love, sometimes it'll hurt, sometimes it'll feel like you're on top of the world, love is what gives life meaning! Without love I can't go through the day feeling like I'm not in love! Whether it's lvoe for your family, friends, or that one special person!

Yes...just a couple of weeks ago my husband emailed me that I am the love of his life. He was married to someone else for 16 years and just married me in November. I feel the same way about him.

It's a chemical process well documented by science. Plenty of people report experiencing it. I also experience it myself. So I've got scientific, anecdotal and personal evidence. Yep, it exists.

With the teenagers nowadays, i feel like there is no hope in love, all the want is sex, drugs, and alchohol. All they want is a hit and run. I wish i could but i doubt it now.

Of course. I see it nearly every day, in couples I know. Just because it may not be in your life at the moment, doesn't mean it does not exist.
