Based on the model number, I suspect it is rated at 5000 watts. Due to the way manufacturers label their products, this may be either a continuous rating, or the peak / surge rating.

Two places for you to get an idea on the power capacity of the generator.

Check the outlets. A 5kW generator should have a L14-20 outlet with a pair of 20A breakers. 20A breakers can be used up to about 5kW (20A x 240V = 4800W). I'm assuming you're in USA/Canada with a 120/240V electrical system. The outlet may be different elsewhere.

Check the engine. A rule of thumb is that each horsepower will supply about 500 watts. Therefore, a 5kW generator will have a 10HP engine. My DeVilbiss GT5000 had a 10HP engine, and my Generac 5500XL uses a 11HP engine.

To easily answer we would need to know the brand. You should be asking about kW the kilowatts that it can deliver. The generator is probably 120/240 Volts because that is most common. You are not looking for kV which is thousands of volts and not really a likely thing to be unique about your generator. If they put 5000 in its name it could be a 5000 watt (5kW) unit.

Look on the name tag and see what is says there, That is a plate riveted on that has that kind of info.
