I was bit by a dog when I was five and have a scar between my nose and my mouth. It bothered me a lot when I was younger, but now that I'm older, it's faded a little bit -- and I realize people are looking at my smile and my eyes, and listening to my words instead of looking at my scar. Everyone has something "wrong" with their bodies.
That said, until you feel better about it, ask your doctor about those new band-aids that help soften scars. Also, go to a beauty counter (or several beauty counters) and ask for a makeover, and ask them for something to cover the scar. Take a notebook, and make notes. If they want you to buy something, tell them you are just comparing notes right now, and you'll come back and buy something later.
Anyway, they will give you techniques for camouflaging the scar, and you will get to try out different products and see if they really work.
But other than that, work on improving what you can improve! Good luck!

Let it be a reminder of how bad it could be. I won't say get over it, but I will say look at the bright side of it. If it doesn't bother anybody else than be glad that the Docs did a good job. If it just really annoys you, you may consider a good facial concealer to cover what is probably a very small scar. More importantly, you may want to consider the real reason that you still have a poor self image. Per your admission, you look normal and the thing that you are focusing on doesn't bother anybody else. What's really going on?

cover it with a little makeup and I have seen advertised on T.V. an item to cover and also fade it, so look around the pharmacy or ask the pharmacist
