Any girls that have gotten them where did you get them, and how painful was it, like compare it to something if you could. My boyfriend wants me to get a matching sun and moon tat w/ him. He's getting his on his lower back and i was thinking of getting mine done on my hip but i KNOW i will be a big baby about the pain..........

Ok. I TOTALLY understand about the pain because trust me. I am probably a bigger baby than you. We are talking I pass out when I get blood drawn because I am that scared of needles! I got a butterfly tattoo on my right lower hip. And it really wasn't a big deal. Take your boyfriend with you so you can talk to him during it. I took my college roommate and it helped take my mind of things. You will be laying down so just don't look at it and talk to someone! Mine didn't hurt too much. It hurt a little when he got near my hip bone or muscle, but nothing awful. Good luck!

Get a tattoo on a side of your frame that has extra 'fats' as a substitute than muscle if you do not wish to consider extra soreness. But, a tattoo most effective hurts for the period of time you're getting it after which it's performed and you've got a tattoo you're blissful with. So, you must feel approximately wherein you might like a tattoo and simply get it and do not fear approximately the soreness. No tattoo is insufferable. The hip via your bikini line, the shoulder, and the cut back again are well locations to get one that do not harm a lot. I have a tattoo on either one of my toes and I might recommend if you do not wish to consider an excessive amount of soreness not to get one there. And, if you do not have already got a tattoo in brain, feel of matters that you just would get that experience a that means to you. You would get tattoos of matters that represent anything on your existence. Or, you would continuously get chinese language symbols, butterflies, fairies, mushrooms, dragonflies, hearts, stars, suns, moons, plant life... and many others. (lovely tattoos)

Inner ankle
Outer ankle
3/4 way around upper arm
Above left breast
Shoulder blade
Do you really want the tattoo or are you just doing it to please him? If its a design that you really like and dont think that you will associate it with him if you split, go for it. If you are just getting it for him, dont do it, or at least change the design slightly so you like it better, it can still match in color and similar design or change the color but keep the design, just distance yourself from his a little. Sorry to sound like i am lecturing, but a tattoo should be a personal thing for you, just you or you and immediate family eg kids, parents.
As for pain, to me having the outline done felt like the artist had a scalpel and was lightly cutting the design into me, but not really painful, the color just felt like i was being badly sunburnt but got a little tender over bones or around the outline.

I have two tattoos, one on my ankle and one on my arm. The pain for me was a mild burning, no more than if I cut myself shaving. I'm not sure about the hip, but I think it wouldn't be THAT painful as long as you're not getting it done too close to your actual hip bone. The closer to the bone the more painful they can be.

1. Don't get a design because he wants you to when you split it will just be a bitter reminder.
2. Only get something because it is completely what you want, maybe you should go look at art by yourself or with a girl friend but do not let their opinion sway you have to live with it not them.
3. If your not ready do not get one.
4. Bony areas hurt the worst.
5. ALWAYS REMEMBER YOUR BODY BELONGS TO YOU IF HE LOVES YOU HE WILL EXCEPT THAT.

It really depends on your pain tolerance, I have 10 on different areas of my body and it felt like a bee sting for a short amount of time and then I didn't feel any pain.

I have 3 tattoos and they didn't hurt while I got them done. The ones on my calf hurt the next day, but not to badly. It was the muscles that cramped up. The one on my butt didn't hurt at all (except the shyness)

I have two tats.. one on my upper back and another on my lower back.. the most recent was bout 7 months ago, on my lower back and yeah it hurt! would I get another? heck yeah!

i got a butterfly on my right shoulder. it hurt but it wasnt untolerable. it was nawing a bit when he did the coloring in. that was the worst. if i had known it wasnt going to hurt any more than it did..i would have gotten it a long time ago.....
