This reads like a Rove-managed info piece.

Places Bush in the false position of being the moderate - but Bush exacerbated the crisis by non-enforcement for years, then produces the “solution” to the crisis he helped manufacture. To get even MORE foreign workers in, creates the “comprehensive” ruse.

Claims “conservative republicans”, a Rove-directed epithet from last year, are the sole opposition to the plans

Says nothing about working with people in the House, BTW.

Neither party is truly in line with majority of US citizens/legal residents when it comes to resolving the issue of illegal immigration.
Reasons against amnesty for illegals:
1. Lawbreakers should not be rewarded
2. This country cannot afford the cost of legalization of >12M of illegals.

No, worse, since it lessens the few restrictions there were. However it does nothing real on stopping the flow, so I don't really think the other parts should be up for discussion yet.

I dont think that illegals should be getting that much of a break because it is our country and we shouldnt just be handing them citizenship like that. They need to learn that they just cant come into our country and take welfare from us like we have alot of money. Thanks to them we are not getting social security when we are older.

They figured out that they weren't going to screw illegal immigrants with their other bull **** plan. http://select.nytimes.com/gst/abstract.html?res=F40F15FD3A5B0C758DDDAD0894DF404482

What I find amazing is that the government will quickly give "illegals" a TIN so they can feed their greed, but it makes them jump through an infinite number of hoops just to get citizenship, and on top of that they put the blame on them for all of their problems and get a few ignorant people to believe them.
