Say that "It's due to too much pressure and for too long from when I cross my legs". The warm blood pools in this area since there is no room for it to circulate well. If you were to continue to keep your legs crossed and there was no release of pressure to this same area, your skin would eventually breakdown due to loss of oxygenated, fresh blood, and you'd develop a skin ulcer, a decubitus ulcer, to be exact. That's why patients in the hospital who are unable to move well on their own, have to be turned or repositioned every couple hours or less.

Circulation is cut off from the pressure of your legs crossing and your blood pools. It should go away within a few minutes of standing up.

yes. This happens to many people. It is because the heat and pressure from the two sitting against eachother cause that spot. If you don't want the spot then don't cross your legs.

that happens to everyone, duh
youre sitting with your legs crossed therefore one leg pressed against the other so it makes a spot, then it goes away a little after you stopped sitting that way.
whoever is asking you about it is dumb, no offense but really

Yes. I get that. If I am asked, I tell the questioner that my legs were crossed.

I don't think they are anything to worry about. However, if I were you I would cross my legs at the ankle, not the knee. I've heard that this can possibly lead to vein problems in the legs. (spider, varicose)

Of course! But you should try not to cross your legs; it's bad for circulation and could lead to varicose veins.
