How do you get over the feeling that others are looking down at you?

Question

I constantly have the feeling that others are looking down at me. They feel that their life is better because they have stable, steady jobs and intact families.

I guess I have to look at the positive points in my own life. I don't know what is the way to deal with this feeling when it overtakes me.

I feel that I am a complete and total failure and did not live up to my responsibilities as a wife and mother.

it sounds like a personal like issue. Like I had htis and now my sister goes through it. She has a broken family and sees mine and though she does not say anythign to me about it she tells someone else and they relay it. Listen you need to look at where you are and where you were. Everything happens for a reason. You should realize you have good things going for you and just because someone else has the belief that their life is better doesn't mean it would be better for YOU! Keep your head up! It will pass. Stay strong and looka t al the positive things! Good luck

Your not a failure, the only way you can be a failure is if you believe you are. the people around you do not know what is going on in your life. They do not know what you have over come to get to where you are today.
They look down on you and everyone else because they are missing somthing in their life that they think you have in yours. They look down on us to make them self feel better. The things is no one can look down on us if we do not let them. so hold your head high and know that you are doing what you can and you will make it that will show them.

Well at least you can admit it... now you have two choices - you can either dwell on it and go insane or you can do something to become a better person. You are never a COMPLETE failure until you give up. We all make mistakes and if we are decent people we always look for ways to do better so you choose what you are going to do from here.... do better or give up?

Ask yourself.. would you be to concern of how others is doing?... Seriously it is none of your business rite???.

In the same token, they would not think of looking down at you, because it is none of their business. What is left is your own sensitiveness that eats you up inside. It is not other BUT your ownself..

Try telling yourself.... No one cares a damn about what you do because it does not benefits them in any way...Also what you do does not depend on others... Just lived your life ....and forget about how other people think..

Pray Pray and Pray. And if you don't have a prayer life start one. You are so blessed to have children as I know people who are infertile and would kill to have a baby. And there are soooo many single people who'd love to be married. Don't worry about others looking down on you. You just be you! Think of all your blessings as there are so many without.

Don't feel that way. If people are looking down on you, that's because they're pathetic. I get the same feelings from time to time. You just have to be a turtle - let it roll right off your back.

you need to have more confidence in your self. Always look at yourself as perfect. you don't have to think anyone else is perfect and no one else has to think you're are perfect, but as long as you look at it like that you should have all the confidence in the world. If there is anything about you that, in your eyes makes you not perfect, you are the only one that can change it.
