If you reinstalled Windows XP then Windows Media Player would have been installed as well. If this is not the case, don't panic. You can download the latest version of WMP 11 from Microsoft's download site (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/AllDownloads.aspx?displang=en&qstechnology=).

At the download site, you will find download links for both WMP and WMP 10 - some users don't like the new look of WMP 11. Even though you can download WMP 9, I recommend you use WMP 10 or later version since they include fixes to security flaws found in older versions.

right click on your task bar, chose properties and check the show quick launch box.

It should also be in your start menu under all programs.

You can go to the control panel, add/remove programs / click the add/remove windows components and try to re-install it.

Or, you could Go to Microsoft.com and download version 11, which is pretty cool, too. The library is a little different and takes getting used to, but it's good..

Take care, Keith
