As previously mentioned, most digital cameras do not record sound with video. Some do, however, and one of the best that does this is the Canon Powershot S3 IS.

You might want to look up the specs on your camera, or check the user manual, to see if it is supposed to record with sound or not, and if so, how to set it up.
