The word 'homophobes' doesn't really cover it, because they also exist outside believers in God.

Fundamentalists is too broad to describe it.

"People who condemn homosexuals based on the Bible" is just a too long sentence for a lazy guy like me.

So far I only can think of "Scriptosexuals", but that also doesn't really please me.

Any ideas?

Stephanie, there is no anger here. I wanna educate them, that's the whole point. Before I can reach them, I first need to address them, so they need a solid label, right? The current labels make no sense to me.

HomoScriptoSexuals or HomoScriptoSexualPhobic.

The only reason anyone would be So concerned about what's going on in other consenting adults pants would be because of INTEREST (latent, blatant or curious).

This is ignorance at its highest! What creative solution shall we use for describing homosexuals and other people who condemn Christians? Lets see how creative we can get.

Christiphobes, Christophobic, Bigots (stands for Barely Intelligent God rejectors On The way to Sheol), Pervosexuals,
Worldlyologists, Hellbounders,Satanservophobes, - you get the idea.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander - or are the anti-Christian crowd a bunch of ne'er do gooders with high standards (double standards that is)?

hmm.. let's skim through Leviticus from uh.. what's that book called again? oh yea, the BIBLE

it's true... the bible specifically says the following:
"You shall not lie with a man as with a woman: that is an abomination." 18:22

okay... i'm fine with that. If that is what your God orders, that is what you should do.

oh and what else does this book say?
"You shall not round off your hair from side to side, and you shall not shave the edge of your beards... you shall not tatoo yourselves." 19:28

and don't forget:
"Of all animals on land these are the creatures you may eat: you may eat any animal which has a parted foot or a cloven hoof ad also chews the cud; those which have only a cloven hoof or only cheew the cud you may not eat." 11:3

does that mean the US should ban people from eating pork and getting tattoos? do all the good christians keep kosher?

oh yea... it also says to sacrifice animals... a lot of animals... do you do that? if you do, someone should call the cops on you

could I certainly have searched the Bible for solutions if I wasn't gay? I doubt it. compliment God that He made me gay so i could learn scripture extra heavily. These are all scriptures from the Bible and god condemns homosexuality because it is not the way that we are designed .

Those who condemn the practice (not the people) would be called biblically correct in my book. However, God doesn't call us to condemn the individual or judge them unless they say they are of Him.
God calls us not to judge the lost, but to help them; to judge, however, those saying they belong to Him is another matter. But then again, this is to be with much discernment.

'Ignorant Hypocrites' sounds just about right. You see, the Biblical verses they prize so dearly deny the very ideal which they aim for-- An All-Loving God.

God would be illogical to create homosexuals if He hated them already.

The pen-holders of the Bible were ALL male(Except maybe Ruth) and as such imposed their own opinion in these verses.

If anyone who reads this is having a heart-attack, then make it quick, because the rest of the world won't wait up on hate...

How do "Biblicus Homophobus" and "Intolerantus Christianus" sound? Or you could always go with "Righteous Bigots." Or maybe even "Damned Judgemental Bastards (DJB's)," since there is nothing in the bible preventing them from judging others and praying for forgiveness, while judging others. Or perhaps "Biblically Intolerant God Ordained Tyrant Sheepherders", or B.I.G.O.T.S., for short.
