To be God's son, Jesus had to be born. To have our sin nature and the ability to save us all, Jesus had to be born to a human.

God had already created Adam and Eve which are the mother and father of all mankind. He didn't need to use the dust again, but instead used a virgin because Jesus is God in the flesh.

It was a Miracle permitted by God in order to show the people that HE truly is THE ONE God by making the virgin Mary being capable of having a baby without the need of MAN.

Man has always asked for proof of a God and this is where God proves it once again. If you are a believer of the Christian, Jewish or Muslim faith etc, you would also be aware of the many miracles God presented through his Messengers (peace be upon them) in order to make man believe once again and guide them on the straight path.

Some Miracles - Moses(p.b.u.h) splitting of the Red Sea
- Noah's(p.b.u.h) Arc

May God bless all who seek the knowledge.

Adam and Jesus were both real. Jesus was born of a virgin to fulfill an Old Testament prophecy. God is God and He can do whatever He wants.

I agree, in part, with Mary W, but she forgets to mention that real people are born of a mother and a father. Jesus was the son of Mary and Joseph. He viewed us all as sons of god which is why in the lord's prayer he said each and every person should address god as father (and a proper translation of "abba" is not "our father", it is much closer to "dad").

Christians felt the need to give Jesus more the characteristics of both the OT and the contemporary Roman and Greek myths. For example, Hercules was said to be the son of Zeus, born of a virgin and his myth predates that of Jesus.

Was he going to use a man's womb? And it was imperative that the messiah was born under the curse of mankind; therefore, he could be a fitting sacrifice.

To fulfill prophecy and to be born innocent like the rest of us to defeat death, i.e. Satan.

Heb 2:14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us.

I think Jesus had to be of human nature, just like us. In the beginning there were no women to reproduce, so of course God had to create humans so that they could do that.

Adam was a myth. Jesus is real. Real people are born through a woman.

As opposed to a man womb?

You'll have to ask God that question-- it fulfilled prophecy.
