If you haven't lost all hope. I just thought of a way I got mine to pop out. If you can tilt the driver's seat all the way down and push it all the way back... you can get in a position to hit the bottom of the Ignition Lock Cylinder with a Rubber Mallet. I think after about 5 good whacks, the spring holding the key in place loosened and the key popped out. (You should probably remove all of the plastic stuff surrounding the steering column before doing this [It's held in by 3-4 screws if I remember correctly, from the underside of your column]) Please try this method before removing the Ignition Lock Cylinder completely (as I had answered on your "other" question. Just in case though, here's the answer verbatim:

I'd copy and paste the info, but I think the answer would be removed for copyright infringement.

Essentially, you'll need to disable the airbags (if you have them, they weren't standard in the '93s, but were standard in the '94s).

Here is a link to the page where you can completely disassemble with ignition lock cylinder (in which case you'll be able to start it without a key, yet do so without causing permanent damage).

It has a few pictures too. Good luck to you.

P.S. True hotwiring is never a great idea, as it doesn't solve the steering wheel locking problem.

P.P.S. You can have a locksmith replace the entire lock cylinder for you, and even rekey it for your current keys. It'll cost roughly $120-150. If you're nice to them, perhaps they'll give you a discount.

Turn it on and off again and be sure it in park. This all I know. I will say my 1990 Chevy Truck did this and finally I just go for broke and jerk the key out! Now I not need a key! LOL!

In general, you can't remove the key unless the car is in park. So try to shift your gear out of park to some other gear and go back to park and try to remove the key. Keep trying, good luck!
