For the most part my Dad did. I also was able to take advantage of my High School's Driver's education class. I was taught how to drive standard transmission by a warehouse helper at my first job and eventually learned how to drive a non-CDL commercial vehicle with the instructions of here are the keys, don't hit anything. I eventually taught myself how to drive a semi with some help from my co-workers at a Foodservice distributor and have been driving professionally for over 11 years now.... I'm also licensed to haul Bulk Hazardous Materials, but I give my father credit for showing me how to drive properly in the first place.

My parents taught me what I needed to know, then I revised it and taught myself. I like the way I taught myself better, the police will let you know if you mess up.

We should have driving classes both theory and practical from middle school education. ( should be compulsory). One should learn driving in right way (not from boy friend or step father) There should licensed tutors.
