What is the actual basis for a boyfriend and girlfriend relationship work? I have seen some relationship work successfully after several years and still continuing or just fail, or some that work only for a month. There are factors to consider: If you find someone who is better, getting tired/bored of them, someone cheats in the relationship; someone gets injured, burned beyond recognition, or death. What makes a relationship work?

Funny you say that. I was seeking the same answer. I asked the only person I knew that was in a relationship, my nana. She summed it up in one word, Sacrifice.

I think by that she means for a relationship to be succesful you need to sort of stop acting like a single unit and act as a team so to speak. I find alot of relationships break up because of someones ego or because someone is stepping on someone elses private time etc. Its all about finding that balance.

I think thats how relationships work, and the only way that it will work is communication. If your partner upsets you dont give them the silent treatment. Talk to them, work it out, take a walk in their shoes before passing your own judgement on them.

If you love each other you'll go the full mile to work it out, after all nothing worth having comes easy :)

Hope that covered it
