My girlfriend has a cold and she is running a fever and I was told that she is the most contagious when she is running a fever.... Is this true? if so, why is it?

For anyone who has a cold they are contagious not just those who have a fever. But the reason that it is contagious when someone has a fever is because the body is trying to fight off the infection. Fever is one of the ways our body lets us know that it is trying to fight the ongoing infection.

I would also recommend double checking with your dr to see what they say. Pls tell your girlfriend to keep hydrated by drinking lots of juice and water as she recovers, and that I hope she gets to feeling better soon.
