That's a tough one Julia. I would want to say Catholic followed by Hindu and Islam; however, you will notice that there are similarities of the buildings within every religion. The architectural styles of churches in Europe can be traced to Islam.

Funny. Depending on how you define "best", which you do not do....the temples erected to Greek gods have been the model for Western architecture for over 2000 years - look at the Capitol buildings and just about every traditional courthouse in America - and yet no one mentioned the Greeks. Well, let me be the first! Their harmony, balance, and simple elegance have been often copied but never equalled (or surpassed).

The ancient Minoans were centuries before their time. We would have based Western culture on them, had that giant volcanic eruption not wiped them out leaving the Greeks 'top-dogs' in the area.
