When I was 18, I went on a few dates with a 24 year old. Don't see the problem. Then when I was 21, I dated a 33 year old. Now I'm 22, my first serious bf is nearly 27.
Age differences aren't 'crazy bad' unless one of you could be the other's parent!

you're worrying too much. as long as you both are of legal age that's all that matters (18 and older). some states have an age of consent. that means at a certain age one can consent to having sex with some one older than them. some states its 14 and in others its 16. the thing with that is this: a 4 yr. age gap. in new jersey, i think the age of consent is 16. let's say i am 16 (in reality i am 24) and i have a boyfriend is 20. my parents find out that i am having sex with my boyfriend. they can go to the police and report him for having sex with a minor and also claim rape. why? because he's an adult (18 yrs. of age and older) and i am a minor (under the age of 18). he can be brought to court and have a trial. if that happens and is found guity of rape and sex with a minor: he may be titled as a child rapist and/or child molestor/child predator/pedophile. why? because he's an adult and i am a minor.
in reality i am 24 and IF i had a boyfriend who was 20 and both of our parents found out, i wouldn't be arrested or anything. why? because he and i are adults.
don't worry....all i can say is that i hope you're not in high school!

You are worrying too much *laughs*
At 18 (the legal age in my country) I was involved with a 37 year old (who, to this day, is one of my closest friends). We never let the age difference worry us. We were very happy together :) .

To be truthful that's not that big of an age gap. I have friends who are dating men 24, 17, and 9 years older. All that matters is that your are happy. BUT listen to your friends and family - especially ones who many have known him from the past.

Its ok if you really love eachother. I am 35 and my husband is 27 , it doesnt matter. Weve been together for 4 years, have 2 children, and we are happy! Nobody cares about the age difference.

Age shouldn't matter and even if it did 6 years isn't a big difference. As long as he is a good guy go for it! You never know maybe he'll be "the one" Good Luck!

Depends on tha guy, you dont want him to think he can take advantage of you because of your age. Even though you are mature, hes probably more experience, just be careful and cautious
