The bible does not have a brain that makes decisions, the bible does not act and make choices.... the followers are.
Okay, they both are!

Which one of the 26 version of the Bible are you referring to?
I think that the Bible is intended to be interpreted and applied in the current social environment and is subject to change as society evolves.
Just because they sacrificed lambs in the Old Testament does not mean the we have to sacrifice a lamb today.
As long as you live by the basic rules of the 10 commandments (which are pretty basic in all major religions of the world), the rest of the Bible should be a guideline and not verbatim.
People can be very hypocritical though.

Well, since a book is an inanimate object, it cannot be hypocrite. Contradictory perhaps..
There are a lot of contradictions in life every day, and the good book reflects some contradictions. Get used to it, the world and morality is not black and white.
People in general can be hypocritical, and some followers of God can have that trait.
So, did you ask this question so you would look smart? Hmmm...

How would you know. Have you studied the Bible do you really know many Christians? You are doing exactly what you accuse Christians of doing, judging others. Are you perfect? If not than who are you to judge anyone. You probably do not understand the Bible, so you are really not in a position to call the Word of God hypocritical.

The bible is pretty long. Asking for consistency is a bit unfair.
There are also a large number of followers some of them are hypocrites some of them aren't.

The bible has been the same since it was written and then translated. God's word has never changed or wavered. So it is people are the ones who end up being the hypocrites when they logically, rationally, and by way of their own vain intellect attempt to change the truth of God into a secular lie.

All of us fall short of His awesome glory. So it is not surprising that we struggle, even when we are "good" people.
Are we not all hypocritical to some degree from time to time?
As Christians, we are usually held to a higher standard. We are scrutinized and watched. I don't have a problem with this. We should all walk the walk as far as I'm concerned. At the same time, people shouldn't expect us to walk on water either. We're still human with human imperfections.

kind of a stupid question, i didn't know that the Bible was able to go against its word. anywho, people aren't perfect and do things the opposite of what they believe or say things so everybody, FOLLOWERS OR NOT, are hypocrits at one time or another

Unless you are looking for a specific answer that you "want to hear" (see 2 Timothy 4: 3 & 4), you need to give some details in order for the intellectually honest people on here to give you a truthful answer.
God loves you and so do I.

The Bible has so many contradictions its ridiculous. Here's just two that stand out:
God good to all, or just a few?
PSA 145:9 The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works.
JER 13:14 And I will dash them one against another, even the fathers and the sons together, saith the LORD: I will not pity, nor spare, nor have mercy, but destroy them.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
War or Peace?
EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name.
ROM 15:33 Now the God of peace be with you all. Amen.
Dear Dr. Laura:
Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have
learned a great deal from your show, and try to share that knowledge with
as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual
lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly
states it to be an abomination. End of debate.
I do need some advice from you, however, regarding some of the other
specific laws and how to follow them.
1. When I burn a bull on the altar as a sacrifice, I know it creates a
pleasing odor for the Lord -- Lev. 1:9. The problem is my neighbors. They
claim the odor is not pleasing to them. Should I smite them?
2. I would like to sell my daughter into slavery, as sanctioned in Exodus
21:7. In this day and age, what do you think would be a fair price for
her?
3. I know that I am allowed no contact with a woman while she is in her
period of menstrual uncleanliness -- Lev. 15:19-24. The problem is, how do
I tell? I have tried asking, but most women take offence.
4. Lev. 25:44 states that I may indeed possess slaves, both male and
female, provided they are purchased from neighboring nations. A friend of
mine claims that this applies to Mexicans, but not Canadians. Can you
clarify? Why can't I own Canadians?
5. I have a neighbor who insists on working on the Sabbath. Exodus 35:2
clearly states he should be put to death. Am I morally obligated to kill
him myself?
6. A friend of mine feels that even though eating shellfish is an
abomination -- Lev. 11:10-- it is a lesser abomination than homosexuality.
I don't agree. Can you settle this?
7. Lev. 21:20 states that I may not approach the altar of God if I have a
defect in my sight. I have to admit that I wear reading glasses. Does my
vision have to be 20/20, or is there some wiggle room here?
8. Most of my male friends get their hair trimmed, including the hair
around their temples, even though this is expressly forbidden by Lev.
19:27. How should they die?
9. I know from Lev. 11:6-8 that touching the skin of a dead pig makes me
unclean, but may I still play football if I wear gloves?
10. My uncle has a farm. He violates Lev. 19:19 by planting two different
crops in the same field, as does his wife by wearing garments made of two
different kinds of thread (cotton/polyester blend). He also tends to curse
and blaspheme a lot. Is it really necessary that we go to all the trouble
of getting the whole town together to stone them? -- Lev.24:10-16.
Couldn't we just burn them to death at a private family affair like we do
with people who sleep with their in-laws? (Lev. 20:14)
I know you have studied these things extensively, so I am confident you
can help. Thank you again for reminding us that God's word is eternal and
unchanging.
Your devoted disciple and adoring fan.
