hi um i hope you dont mind answering my questions. ive just recently read shakespear, A midsummer Nights Dream, and have a few questions.

1. what is the relationship between Helena and Hermia?

2. I dont understand what this means can you please summarize it?
Lysander: Ay by my life!/ and never did desire to see thee more/ Therefore be out of hope of question of doubt/ be certain nothing truer. Tis no jet/ That I do hate thee and love Helena.
3. What is the Quarrel between Lysander and Demetrius?
4. Helena says she wants to go back to Athens to forget her problems. What stops her?
5. What do Lysander and Deimetrius mean in this part?

Lysander: Now she holds me not/ Now follow, of thou darst to try whose right/ On thine or mine is noust in Helena./ Demetrius: FOllow, NAy Ill go with thee cheac by jowl.

A Midsummer Night's Dream is hysterical!
It can be confusing because even though Helena and Hermia are physically different (one tall, one short, one blonde, one brunette) they essentially are the same...
It really is a short and easy read, I suggest reading it again. Keep in mind that in the forest, after they fall asleep, they are put under a spell to fall in love with the first one they see... hence the love triangle begins.
I love the not-so-subtle remarks from Bottom about being a donkey... so fun.
It might help you to watch one of the movies made as well... I like the one with Michelle Pfiefer.
