most cars built after about 2001 have a chip that either shifts the tranny into neutral on autos or just prevents the EFI from pushing more gas into the cylinders. The GT500 is set to 150, and caps at 2000 RPM in fifth gear, with another gear and the rest of fith to go. its VERY easily removed if your friendly with your mechanic or wnat to buy a tuner module.

Yes, it's in the computer and tied to the tire rating, if you have factory Z rated tires, you are good to go to the limit of the tires, but if you put on cheaper tires, be very careful you can over-rev and explode them!

Sure it does. You can get a programmer and up it some. It think it is set at 142 mph. Could be wrong though.

I'm sure it does, but it's above 142 mph because I've had mine going that fast.
