Is it possible that you're NOT awesome, and your belief that you are is merely delusion?
I'd say you should look outside your supposed awesomeness to determine the existence of God.

Some people who do not believe in God believe in a higher power; which supports the universe.....in those beliefs if you believe that you are awesome in a healthy non conceited way. The universe will support that and you will in fact be awesome.

Because you give your life intrinsic meaning. It is awesome because it is meaningful to YOU.
Do you really need a secondary source of fulfillment? Or a religious myth to bolster your sense of purpose? Probably not.
