That's the best question I've seen yet!!! Kudos. Most Christians haven't even read their own book.

"To each their own" ever hear that quote? That's because there is no right religion! There are millions of people on this planet in a plethora of environments and social structures! I do believe that when choosing a religion for yourself or even accepting the one you were raised with you should research both the actual endocrine for your religion and also look up the anti propaganda for it. See why people believe it is wrong, do your own research! Don't be a lemming, in this age of information there are no excuses for why you can't explain your own faith!
As for the person who says that they have yet to read the whole Bible, you have no excuses I was raised in a Christian faith and had completely read the Bible front to back 10 times before my 9th birthday! The Bible is one of the most published religious books in America! ITS YOUR FAITH AND YOUR CHOICE DON'T BE IGNORANT!
**by the way I am agnostic, and have spent a good deal of time looking up religions.

I didn't read them all. I was an agnostic for most of my life and I figured that atheists were stupid because they believed that there wasn't a God and not only can't you prove that there isn't a God you can't explain how matter came to exist in this universe by the science we now have.
I thought religious people believed because they were raised to believe and they were afraid of death and so they wanted to believe. I didn't disrespect them, I just didn't believe along with them and I never went to church to hear a sermon my whole life.
But then God arranged circumstances in my life to where I was obligated to go to church with this guy. I just planned on going and leaving but the Holy Spirit drew me to Jesus and now I've been a Christian for over 5 years and serve in several ministries.
Since I've become a Christian I've read some portions of other religious books. All the ones I've read out of don't hold a candle to the Bible. I read just enough to know that they were either philosophy books or books written by people who were trying to rip off Christianity or that they were distortions of the true faith. I've investigated the claims of the Bible and seen the history of how it has been attacked for centuries and I just thank God that He called me into his family before it was too late.

Your question is that of an unlearned person! Religion is a dead and rotten thing because it is based on doctrine and ritual and has no life in and of itself.
Christianity, on the other hand is a relationship. It begins for every Christian the same way. We realize our sin, ask God to forgive us, and live to love, serve and honor Him forever.
When we know God and we begin to study the Bible the most
interesting thing happens. We begin to pray according to the
scriptures and God answers prayer. Even more amazing is the fact that we don't even tell anyone else what we prayed and we don't mention our need to anyone but God and we still get the answers we need.
Personally, I have been healed in answer to prayer. I have cast out demons in answer to prayer. I have preached under some powerful annointings in answer to prayer. I have raised seven children who all chose to love and serve God of their own volition by praying and asking God for help to do it. I have met and married a wonderful woman of God in answer to prayer. I have been able to have powerful annointings in street evangelism and prison ministry and door-to-door ministry in answer to prayer. I could go on and on with this but
if this doesn't quite make it clear to you why I don't need to read a bunch of books about religion I don't think I can help you any further.

Let me ask you a question. If God isn't real, and there is some lesser known religion why do so few people know about it? Do you think some deity would expect us to know of them if we had to go to the ends of the earth to search for it? It just makes sense that any god would give us the opportunity to find them. The bible is the most popular book in history, is that a coincidence? Hmmm

i havent read all the BIBLE yet but i know HE is the right one - God is real, and i have a personal relationship with him, and just because i havent finished reading and understanding all of the bible, studying the many verses doesnt make it something worthless. From being a Catholic to being Christian there is lot for me to understand, and learn - thats been the case since i was 6 years old!! When you experience The Holy Spirit, then try to deny that HE isnt the right GOD

Oh, I got the Sparknotes. It took me 3 hours and a dozen glazed donuts, but I did it!
I kid, of course.
Actually, this is exactly why I am not currently affiliated with a religion. I have things I believe, but don't feel I know enough about the various religions of the world to justify being a member of one.

You don't read all the religious books in the world; you pray about it and if your prayers are sincere, let God show you the right way. God hears the prayers of the meek ones, but he is far away from the wicked.
Proverbs 15:29
Jehovah is far away from the wicked ones, but the prayer of the righteous ones he hears.

I'm sure you've studied all of the medical books in the world before picking the right treatment for any illnesses you've had?
No, you learn to trust certain people you consider experts on the subject, you ask them questions, and you talk to your peers.

Why would one have to read "all" the books. There are not that many major religions.
