The category is religion and spirituality. This implies that people can come here and discuss myriad views about religion and spirituality. You believe, perhaps because you and a majority of the English-speaking world are Christians, that anyone who isn't a Christian should leave this category. Why is your input on religion and spirituality more valid than mine?
Consider the government category on Y!A. In America, our government is very conservative (despite the recent Democratic majority, we still lean heavily to the right, but that tangent is for another question). Should liberals therefore be prevented from subverting the majority? Is their opinion less thoughtful, honest or important because they are the minority?
Suppressing minority opinion is the first tactic of all despots.
Many of your other claims are wrong as well. But I'm sure that while I was typng this, others covered that. If not, I'll come back.

Exactly how does my unbelief prove there is a god. I assume that you will quote some scripture from the bible, but do you realize that is not proof? You all seem to use circular logic. You use the bible to prove the existence of god, then use the existence of god to prove that the bible is the word of god. The bible is a book, a book written by men. Men are imperfect. The bible as you know it today is NOT the word of god. It has been translated, and misinterpreted, and mistranslated and compiled by men. Hundreds of years after the death of Christ, MEN got together to decide what books to include in the bible. They did not consult god. I mean, why was the gospel of Mary Magdelane excluded from the bible. Did Jesus not love her above all others? Was she not his best disciple. Wouldn't Jesus have wanted the inspired scripture she wrote in the bible? You do realize that it has been realesed and you can see what is in her gospel. It paints a very different picture of Jesus. Now I know you are going to claim that they are false scriptures, but how do you know? They have been dated and pre-date most of the gospels that are included in the bible. They support the data and scriptures that historians and even theologians view is correct. There are more ancient biblical scrolls that have been found in the last 150 years that support this view, than the gospels that are included in your bible. How can you ignore these? How can you ignore the dead sea scrolls. How can you ignore the FACT that the divinity of Jesus, the Holy Trinity, and the virgin birth were all voted on by MEN at the council of Nicea. Why would they need to vote on these issues, and vote as to wether or not to include them in the bible if they were the word of god? I mean the Pope and all his bishops voted on this. Why the vote? Were they unsure? And if they were unsure, shouldn't you be? With all the biblical writings that have been erased from the bible, burned by the vatican, and held back from publication, how can you use the bible to prove the existence of god? This forumn was meant for people of differing views to discuss theology, but all you want is for people to agree with your views or shut up. If you don't want to hear differing view points, go find yourself a christian chat room to hang out in, and let the rest of us have an open discussion about religion.

My unbelief proves the existence of God? That's the most crazy, circular thinking I've ever heard. As for the "love" that he put in your heart, I DON'T THINK SO. When you tell people to leave here because we don't agree with you, and you Christians call those who believe differently "devil-worshippers", that's not love. That's bigotry, hate, and intolerance, pure and simple.
You need to see a good shrink to help you with your fears and insecurities. Oh yeah, and your tendency to project onto others the things you hate about yourself.
P.S. We ain't leavin' :o)

Which God?
Hey, the Bible was written by men. No verse or quote you pull out of there is "proof" God exists.
People are on here to share views and make people think.
by the way, you misspelled "disbelief," "alive," "demonstrates," "demonstrated," "non-believers."
You obviously aren't smart enough to think for yourself, so you put all of your belief in a book that says it has all the answers.
There is no Satan.
Satan is not in anyone, especially us "unbelievers." The only thing in us is logic, knowledge, and curiosity.
By the way, I was raised Christian. I'm trying to put my 2 cents in.

I don't think anyone hates Jesus, just his followers who have twisted his message for the purpose of evil both today and over the centuries. If you happen to be a true Christian then you are in the minority, and God bless you.

why do you waste your time trying to convince people who don't believe. your belief proves nothing because the followers of your religion have been personally responsible for millions of murders and have sat by and watched as millions more have been slaughtered. i myself know that no loving "god" would allow his followers to do that. reason gives me peace and, well, love put love in my heart. get out of this area and let those of us who can carry on civil discourse without insults do so.
wierd how you can turn any argument for faith back on itself...

> your unbelief proves there is a God .
This is the kind of trivial, childish thinking that enables christians to close their eyes tighter every time they should be opening them. Isn't this the dumbest statement posted on this forum to date?
