I have read from several sources that Jesus Christ went to India for part of his life ("lost years") and studied eastern spirituality....I am not saying I believe this either way, but why is this something hard for some people to believe in?

If the Church wrote out/edited parts of the Bible then isn't is possible that this part of his life was not included in the Bible?
I'm not trying to challenge anyones faith, and I'm not agreeing to this theory...I'm just curious as to if this was possible because I think it would be a really great thing.

There was story told that he used to go with his uncle Joseph of Aritmethea on the trade journey from Israel to India and then to China. Along the way, it was said that he met a lot of spiritual teachers whom he had exchanged spiritual learnings.
There was also an incident when he was almost killed in India for arguing with the religious leaders regarding India's caste systems. It is up to you to believe it or not.

Jesus, the son of Joseph, was a carpenter, until the age of 30, and did not have the financial means to have ever traveled to India; however Buddhist Missionaries did travel in the close, near-by region where Jesus lived and shared the teachings of
Siddhartha Gautama [The Buddha] with anyone who asked questions - to those who were willing to learn.
*It may have been possible, but this is only an opinion, that Jesus, the son of Joseph, had heard and learned the teachings, from Buddhist missionaries.*But no one will ever really know, absolutely for sure, whether Jesus actually learned any of the teachings of The Buddha, from Buddhist missionaries or not.

-Excellent Question.

Thank You.

Some scholars think that Jesus lived and studied in India before he began teaching in the Holy Land. Others think that he did not die on the cross but escaped to India where he laid the foundation of a type of Christianity.
There are definitely ancient teachings in India very much like Christianity and there are stories of a man like Jesus who preached God in India.

Well, the Mormons said Jesus went to the US before it was a country and converted Native Americans or something.

The India trip sounds way more plausible than coming to America.

There is so much the authors of the babble left out. Do you know there is actually a place in India where the locals claim as the spot where jesus is buried. And they go there to observe his grave regularly.

Check out the book...Turning the Hirum key.

No I don't believe that. Luke says he was in the temple at age 12, and indicates he grew up in Galilee.

Also, getting to India would have been very difficult in those days. And why would he go there? He said he came for the lost sheep of Israel. People just made up the India story because they see some similarities in his teachings or something, but that's just because certain teachings are universal.

If Jesus existed it is very possible. Much of the philosophy involving Jesus (not God) seems similiar to Hindu thought. Many of the better parts of Christianity mimic Hinduist philosophy, although it is diluted by constant references to a spaz of a God.
