There has to be a real reason why you hate it. Do you hate running? Do you hate someone on the team that's making practice miserable? Is the coach a jerk to you? If its someone making it no fun find it within yourself to not let that person affect you. If it's the running that's getting you down because you don't feel your doing as well as you'd like, give yourself some time and don't be so hard on yourself. Reward yourself to new running shorts or socks (I love crazy running socks!) or something to put a little skip in your step. Having new running gear always excites me! Maybe a new watch? I really don't know what else to suggest. Hang in there and run for yourself. Make yourself happy- whoever is bothering you, whatever is bothering you, don't let it. It's not worth it. Running should be a release, it should be fun and rewarding and if you're not getting that then you need to make a change. Good luck!

I hated track practice myself, but it is necessary if you want to succeed in the sport. Just give 110% and practice and the results will definitely show. Try to make it as fun as possible.

If you hate it, why don't you quit? About the only thing you can do is keep telling yourself that you're doing something good. Try not to watch the clock during practice. That will make it go by so slowly.

It seems kind of odd to hear someone complaining about something that they don't have to do; is it a peer pressure thing?
Anyway
Change your event; there are so many choices of distances to
run and field events. If it's just fun that you're looking for, there's always the stamp, math or Latin clubs.

i hated track last year too. but i think it was only bcuz i wasnt good. so over the summer and in the fall and winter i worked out and ate right and i came back and kicked butt!! so maybe try running outside of track a little . but if its the running that you dont like you shouldnt be in it bcuz it probly wont get much better..maybe try a field event that you think you may be good at.

Try some more events that you are not doing yet that you are interested in after you finnish your workout in ur main event. Some times just pretending you like it helps. I hope you feel better about it.

If its not fun...than its not for you. You have to find a reason to do it, and that's what will drive you to love it.
