On there IRS Website where you can check the status of your refund, it states that my refund was direct deposited into my account on April 20th, 2007.

My refund has not shown up on my bank rec. There are also no deposits pending. I checked the numbers on the forms I mailed in and the routing an account numbers are correct.

Payroll direct deposits do not take this long to post, so why would this direct deposit take so long? Any ideas?

I had to mail in my taxes this year because one of the companies I worked for went out of business do to Katrina, and he never sent out any W-2's. So they won't let you e-file.

The 20th was Friday,, nothing happened over the weekend,, money should be in your account when you check tomorrow.

Mail? You fill out forms and mail them? Next year, do it all electronicaly. It's free if you link to a site from the IRS site. It's only the 23rd.... give it a few more days.... and keep checking your account. (I wouldn't know how long Payroll direct deposits take. I don't ask Payroll how they process our pay... I just know it's there when it's supposed to be.)

Depends on your bank thats the irs's policy not the banks. The refund... they refunded you and deposited into your account but then the bank has to process it too.

I'm sure you'll have it tomorrow. However, take a peek at page 2 of form 1040. At the bottom should be your account number and routing number. Double check these for accuracy....

It should be there by now. You could call the IRS to confirm that it was sent to your bank, then call your bank and ask them.
