dont know if i should get taxis orhire acar not being driving to long &we drive on left side of road would this cause me any problems

Okay. Israel is not that big. More than likely your only going to be driving a few hours out of Tel Aviv right away so long not a problem. Neither is driving on L/R side.... they drive on same side of road we do here in US. If your just going from say the airport to Jerusalem then get a cab. If your going to go around the country, get a car. Be prepared to deal with various checkpoints along the way if you choose to do this. Otherwise driving really isn't a problem. I'm pretty sure that Israel requires you to have an international driving license to drive as a visitor. You should check this issue out along the way.

I would do cabs, you might forget and drive on the wrong side. You can walk around or rent bikes. Hire a car if you are mostly going to be cruising. Do they have buses?
